John Boothroyd (standing in for Ken Walsh at short notice) described the excavations by Oxford Archaeology between 2006 and 2017 in the fields beside the road between Sutton Courtenay and Appleford. These excavations have revealed important interesting and significant discoveries which throw light on earlier local life at different times throughout our history.

John Boothroyd works with Ken Walsh at Oxford Archaeology South. He studies Archaeology, Medieval Archaeology and Archaeological Theory at Oxford.
