The Society’s Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday 10th May 2018 at 7.30 pm in SC Villlage Hall.
The Society’s Chair, Mary Thompson, presided in her usual efficient way over the meeting, which was attended by some 30 SCLHS members.
Mary reported on the activities of the Society during the past year and the Committee’s plans for the remainder of 2017 and into 2018. She also invited input from members who might have suggestions for the Society’s future activities. To see the full text of Mary’s Chair’s report click here.

The AGM was followed by presentations by Nigel French, John Talbot, Jim Haydon and Bill Hanks on the theme "Focus on Sutton Courtenay - Pictures that tell a Story.” The presentations provoked lively discussion and encouraged others to add their thoughts and reminiscences. Collections of early photographs of Sutton Courtenay as well as some of surrounding villages were made available for more detailed study before and after the meeting and stirred many memories among several of those present.
