Illustrated Talk by Tim Healey
"Drove Roads of Oxfordshire and beyond”

Venue : SC Village Hall
Drove roads often used ancient tracks such as the Ridgeway to drive livestock from one place to another, sometimes for long distances. Livestock passed through this area en route to London markets from Wales and the Cotswolds.
Tim Healey’s illustrated talk described this way of life and the impact on the area.
