Postcard postmarked Newbury August 1944, although the picture appears to be dated (19)41.
The text on the reverse describes Sutton Courtenay as "a very beautiful village near Abingdon" and notes that "Lord Asquith (is) buried there".
Finally the sender says: "Isn't the news good lately. One feels that the end cannot be far off now."
