Illustrated Talk by Tim Healey

"Drove Roads of Oxfordshire and beyond”

Drove roads often used ancient tracks such as the Ridgeway to drive livestock from one place to another, sometimes for long distances.  Livestock passed through this area en route to London markets from Wales and the Cotswolds.

Tim Healey’s illustrated talk will describe this way of life and the impact on the area.

Venue : SC Village Hall

Date/Time : Tuesday 22nd November 2016 7.30 pm

Everyone welcome:  Members free; Visitors £3.00
