SC - River 1

Previous

The River, Sutton Courtenay - Possibly showing the Saxon causeway on the right leading up to the first weirs. The left bank could be the area which was once a wharf and is now the grounds leading down to the river from Asquith's residence.  Sutton Pools would therefore be on the right of the weir seen in the distance and the picture could have been taken as you reach the river, where the paper mill once stood. (Thanks to Mary Thompson.)

Date? No date on PC, but stamp George V half-penny (postmarked Sutton Courtenay possibly 1912)
