This illustrated talk will be about the rise of the Stage Coach, Turnpikes, Highwaymen and the Penny Post - with special reference to the Oxford to Gloucester road.
The Society has previously enjoyed two entertaining talks from Martin Way. He always brings along objects to look at and handle to illustrate his talks

Martin Way is a local historian and popular speaker at local history societies on a wide variety of topics including Anglo-Saxon art and the history of the Cotswold wool trade among others.
