"Prehistoric, Roman and Saxon Discoveries at Bridge Farm, Sutton Courtenay”

If you’ve driven from Sutton Courtenay towards Appleford, you will be aware of the excavations taking place in the fields beside the road.  These recent excavations by Oxford Archaeology have revealed important interesting and significant discoveries which throw light on earlier local life at different times throughout our history.  These will be illustrated and described in Ken Walsh’s presentation.

Ken Welsh

Ken Welsh is the Regional Manager for Oxford Archaeology South and was Project Manager for the Bridge Farm project between 2010 and 2016. He has a particular interest in the archaeology of the upper and middle Thames Valley having excavated sites from Gloucestershire in the west to Heathrow in the east.
